My passion has always been fishing," said Zimmer, "and my dad told me, 'If you want to be happy in life, try to find something you like to do and get paid for it,' and I've been lucky to be able to do that in the world of fishing."

"We all go into the show with the same philosophy that fishing is fun," said Zimmer. "We always try to convey that message with the show, and to stress that it's not how many fish you catch or the size of the fish we catch, it's about the fun times we have doing it, and I think that philosophy really lets us enjoy what we do. We try to teach everybody a little bit of something, but the bottom line is when you go fishing, you've got to have fun."

"We try to keep the average fisherman in mind when we plan out our shows. It's fun to travel to remote destinations and to chase a marlin on fly, but catching snapper near a bridge is just as fun and probably more relevant to our viewers," said Zimmer. "Whether it's redfish, snook or trout, we try to make sure that the average person sitting at home, at the end of the day can say, 'Wow, I'm going to go do that,' or 'Let me go try that.'"
